Workshop Description: Sacred Prayer Feathers - Crafting with Intention

In many Native American cultures, prayer feathers are a sacred tool used in ceremonies, rituals, and healing practices. They are believed to carry the intentions, prayers, and wishes of the person who holds them, serving as a powerful conduit for spiritual connection and transformation. Traditionally, prayer feathers are gifted to others to heal the heart and bring peace, making them an act of love, protection, and spiritual support.

In this hands-on workshop, we invite you to create your own Prayer Feather—an object of beauty, intention, and deep meaning. Using a variety of materials such as book pages, beads, wire, and other embellishments of your choice, you will craft a unique feather that reflects your personal prayers, desires, and spiritual energy.

You will be guided through the process of:

  • Creating the Feather Shape: Learn to form the structure of your feather using paper, wire, and other materials to create a form that feels authentic to your vision.

  • Infusing Your Intentions: As you work, you will have the opportunity to reflect on the prayers or wishes you wish to carry in the feather. You’ll be guided in setting intentions and infusing your creation with meaningful energy.

  • Decorating & Personalizing: Adorn your feather with beads, natural elements, and decorative touches that symbolize your journey, healing, and growth. Each addition will carry its own significance, allowing you to connect deeply with the symbolism of the materials you choose.

Whether you are seeking healing, clarity, or a meaningful gift for someone, this workshop will provide a space for creativity, reflection, and connection. Through crafting, we honor the tradition of prayer feathers and bring a piece of that sacred energy into our everyday lives.

Come, create with intention, and leave with a powerful, handmade symbol of prayer and hope.
